Mark Ma, a fourteen-year-old musician from Johns Creek, Georgia, started his musical career from four, singing at the JCBC children's choir and learning piano. From there, his musical abilities culminated into his current performance, and he is eager to grow and learn more. Learning piano from a young age, he developed the skills necessary to perform and learn music to his heart's content, and improved tremedously, as he is currently playing Chopin's Nocturnes and Bach's French Suites. He can regularly be seen learning new instruments as well, whether it be classical or acoustic guitar or harmonica, and music is truly one of his passions. Mark recently performed in the "Titanic" musical, playing Colonel John Jacob Astor IV. He is also very attentive of his academic career, ensuring that his grades are consistently maintained to the highest standards. Outside of music, Mark enjoys reading, the sciences, and has many hobbies, including Boy Scouts, video games, calisthenics, playing around with electric synchronizers, DND, and so much more. One of his major hobbies is NAQT Quiz Bowl, being an academically rigourous team-played buzzer game, and for two years has qualified, captained, and ranked nationally back-to-back.
Mark has also recently been confirmed to sing in the Georgia 9-10 Allstate chorus this year, as well as having been accepted to sing at the ACDA national conference in Dallas, Texas. His most recent award is being accepted as a CS All-State Singer. He looks foward to anything the music world can teach him, and hopes that people will listen to his performances, leaving with a new fresh idea or a wonderful memory to behold.
