Soprano Meredith Krinke,16, is a junior drama major, graduating this year from the Professional Performing Arts High School in Manhattan. Raised as a classically trained violinist, she studied at Special Music School, as well as the Mannes Prep program at The New School. Meredith's performance experience includes appearances at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Le Poisson Rouge, Roulette Intermedium, Symphony Space, and Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. Favorite recent youth theater credits include Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Ruth (Wonderful Town), #11 (The Wolves), and an upcoming role as Sarah Weddington in Lisa Loomer's "Roe", with Waterwell Drama Theater. She recently made her operatic debut with New York City Opera as Young Micol in the world premiere of The Garden of the Finzi-Contini. She is a private voice student of Lisa Tamagini, and lives in the Bronx with her mother, sister, and four cats. In the fall, she will begin her degree in voice at the Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Cynthia Hoffmann.
