Elie Ravitz-Basser is a native of Washington, DC (USA) and is a senior in high school at Sidwell Friends School. She loves to sing opera and arias, and has been singing for eight years. Elie has been studying under vocal instructor, Katie Katinas (Katie Katinas Vocal Studio), since February of 2022 having prior vocal training from various teachers. Elie previously performed with the National Children’s Chorus at international locations like the Berlin Wall and the Lincoln Center. Elie has competed in several music competitions, like American Protege and the Bland Music Competition. In 2022, she made finals at the Bland Competition in Upperville, Virginia. Elie intends to continue her music career in college, and she plans to study opera this summer 2024 in Italy.
