Katie Dever

Katie Dever is a 16 year old, incoming junior at GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio. Katie is a soprano who studies voice with Denise Milner Howell, adjunct Professor of Voice at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Katie has been been performing on stage since the first grade and has performed in over 30 musicals. Katie's most memorable roles are Peter Pan (with flight) at the Canton Palace Theatre and Medda Larkin in Newsies at GlenOak High School. In 2022, Katie traveled to New York City perform in 'A Class Act NY's' off broadway production of Legally Blonde. Katie is extremely involved in the Choral program at her high school. She was in the auditioned based acapella jazz ensemble, the Notables, for her Freshman and Sophomore years. She was recently selected to be a part of the Junior/Senior ensemble, the Drifters. In addition, Katie was one of two Sophomore females that was selected for the GlenOak Chorale, the top tiered choir. Recently, Katie placed 1st in the High School Musical Theatre category at the Ohio NATS competition. This summer, Katie is very much looking forward to attending Arts Bridge Musical Theater intensive. This intensive is worldwide audition based and highly competitive. There are only 5 Ohio students that have been accepted to the program that this year will be held at Baldwin Wallace University. In addition to the arts, Katie is heavily involved with Speech and Debate, competing in the Dramatic Interpretation category. Katie is a two time state qualifier in speech and debate. Katie is also on the track team.
