- Soprano Robin Cobb has performed many roles in the lyric soprano operatic, oratorio and musical theater repertoire; and is currently a top vocal pedagogue in all of these genres.
- Her students are performing on Broadway, Off Broadway and in current National and International Tours. Her Sam Houston State University graduated college students performing professionally include: Katie Rose Clark (the longest actress to perform Glinda in Wicked on Broadway),‘Glinda’ in Broadway’s Wicked through Spring of 2019, ‘Ellen’in Ms.Saigon 2017 Broadway revival, ‘Clara Johnson’ in “The Light in the Piazza” at The Kennedy Center in 2006, toured as ‘Clara’ in the National tour through 2008, toured as ‘Glinda’ in Wicked through 2012), Nkrumah Gatling (Current John understudy/ ensemble for Ms. Saigon 2017 US, Hair on broadway, John-national tour Ms. Saigon and in the national tour of Hair), Margaret (Ana) Hoffman (Michelle Dreamgirls, Apollo theater, Equity international and national tour Dreamgirls), Onyie Wachachunie (Joanne, national and international tour Rent).
- She also has students who are currently or have recently performed on Disney, Carnival, Holland America and Royal Caribbean cruise lines, in addition to Regional theaters across the country.
- Recently she performed the role of Diana Goodman in Next to Normal at Stages Repertory Theater in April 2017; Orthlinde in Die Walkure for the Austin Lyric Opera; and as soprano soloist with the Colorado Symphony in Bernstein’s Mass and Handel’s Messiah. She has performed the following operatic roles: Fiordiligi and Despina Cosi Fan Tutte, ‘Marguerite Faust, Countess The Marriage of Figaro, Donna Anna Don Giovanni, The Face on the Barroom Floor Madeline, Micaela Carmen, Nedda Pagliacci, Cleopatra Julius Ceasar, Angelica Suor Angelica, Mimi and Musetta La Boheme among other lyric soprano roles. Her professional musical theater credits include: Desiree in A Little Night Music and Marion in The Music Man in Austin, Texas, and a series of musical theater evenings performed with the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra featuring songs by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerome Kern and Harold Arlen.
- She holds a BA and M.M. in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Texas at Austin. She is passionate about “crosstraining” singers so that they can perform professionally in any genre of singing and has been on the voice faculties of Sam Houston State university, Houston Baptist University and is currently a proud member of The University of Oklahoma Voice Faculty.
