Glennes Ware has always had a passion for performing. She has been singing all her life, however a serious passion for theatre began in 8th grade when she started taking voice lessons. Glennes was cast in her first musical freshman year, where she discovered a love of the arts community and how theatre provided an outlet for sharing others' stories and experiences. Now 17, Glennes has most recently played Cady Heron in a local production of Mean Girls, and is on track to pursue musical theatre in college and beyond. Competitions have been an exciting new experience for her as she explores the world of theatre professionally, most recently participating in the Virginia chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) conference. There she received 1st place in her category (upper high school MT) and moved on to the Mid Atlantic chapter, winning 1st place in her category for a second time. Next steps for Glennes include attending Interlochen Arts Academy as a musical theatre major this summer. Glennes feels extremely thankful for all the teachers, friends, directors, and family members who have helped her get to where she is today, and she cannot wait to absorb new knowledge and grow as an artist now and in the future.
