Bio

Alana Muniz, soprano, is a 16 year old senior at Mepham High School in Bellmore, NY.

Ms. Muniz was a winner in the Schmidt National Vocal competition for HS students in May and was a participant in the Queens College Summer Vocal Institute. She was in Gianni Schicchi this summer. Ms. Muniz studies voice with Jennifer Grimaldi Toohey.

In school, Ms Muniz is a member of the Thespian Honor society, acapella group, drama/musical theater programs and NYSSMA music festivals.

Ms. Muniz has a deep love for classical singing, opera, playing piano, guitar, and studying music theory.
