Elena Skirgaudas, 17, is a senior at Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences (SAAS) where she has been on the High Honor Roll each trimester and is a National Merit Commended Student. Elena started studying cello at age 5 and voice at age 9. She has been studying voice with Laura Shepherd for the past 6 years. Elena has performed at Seattle Children’s Theatre including in Seussical Jr (Sour Kangaroo) and Madagascar Jr (Gloria), as well as at Youth Theatre Northwest and Studio East in the Seattle area. Elena was a student at Berklee/Boston Conservatory Vocal Choral Intensive in summer 2020, and the Interlochen Voice and Opera summer program in 2021 and 2022. Elena is in the Onions, her school Jazz Choir, and has been in the Teen Vocal Studio (TVS) at Seattle Opera for the 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. With TVS, she performed in The Little Sweep by Benjamin Britten as Juliet in April 2022, and as Bagheera in the Jungle Book by Sankaram and Rourke in February 2023. Academically, Elena enjoys psychology, science, and creative writing.
