Mezzo-soprano Isabel Yang is a rising senior at Lowell High School in San Francisco. She has enjoyed singing and section-leading with the San Francisco Girls Chorus' Premiere Ensemble for four seasons. She has sung at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and in Cambridge, London, and Paris. She enjoyed performing in her school's production of "Sweeney Todd". Currently she studies with Justin Montigne through the San Francisco Girls Chorus' Soloist Intensive program. Isabel has received Honorable Mention and Second Place (twice) in the NATS Bay Area competition, in both the Classical and MT divisions. In 2019, she advanced to the second round of the CS Music competition. In 2021, she was a finalist at the California Schmidt Vocal Competition, and was accepted to the Schmidt Vocal Institute and the Washington National Opera Institute. Ms. Yang plans to study voice in university.
