Leia Mitwalli

Leia is based in New York City, and currently attends the Chapin School. She is 17 and will graduate high school in 2025. She's always loved singing from an early age, and aspires to be a professional singer. While she can sing many different genres, her passion is classical music and opera. She has an extensive repertoire with both art songs and opera arias in different languages (mostly French and Italian). She's taken private voice and piano lessons for ten years, and has been part of the National Children's Chorus Premiere Ensemble for two. She has attended the Vail Opera Camp through the National Children's Chorus, where she had a Masterclass with Johnathan McCullough. She loves performing, whether that's in front of a large crowd or in front of a small group of friends and family.

She also has a strong interest in creative writing, French and history, and she is interested in the intersections between art, performance and the humanities. An avid music lover, she also likes to compose music and practice conducting in her spare time.
