Leia is based in New York City, but she currently attends Wellesley College. She is set to graduate in 2029 and is currently studying voice under Professor Deborah Selig. She is also part of the Wellesley College Choir. She has sung with the National Children's Choir from 2022-2025. She attended their Vail Opera Camp Program in the summer of 2023, where she met her past teacher, Johnathan McCullough, a baritone and director, through being selected to participate in his masterclass. She has studied voice since she was five years old, starting out with musical theatre repertoire and eventually discovering her love for classical music. Today, she loves performing, whether that's in front of a small group of friends and family or on a large stage.
Leia also has experience with playing instruments, conducting, and composing. She is a pianist, and this past semester joined the Wellesley College Guild of Carillonneurs- challenging herself by deciding to learn a new instrument to expand her musicianship. Leia also loves storytelling and writing, and seeks to bridge her two loves- stories and music- through opera and singing.
