Mezzo-soprano Mairin Srygley is a versatile young artist from Baltimore, MD. Previous season engagements include solo appearances with the National Symphony Orchestra, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Newark Symphony Orchestra under the batons of such conductors as Marin Alsop, Helmuth Rilling, and Kenneth Slowik. Internationally, she has appeared as a soloist with University of Maryland Chamber Singers’ tours of central France and South Korea. Highlights of Mairin’s career also include community outreach work, nonprofit music education and full licensure in speech-language pathology. She is currently completing her Master in Music with pedagogist and new music specialist Dr. Noël Archambeault. Prior teachers and coaches include pianist Justina Lee, Dr. Theresa Bickham of UNC-Greensboro, and world-renowned mezzo-soprano Delores Ziegler at UMD-College Park.
