Bio

Ara Karapetian is Armenian Born in Iran. He started his classical vocal training when he was 18 and studied in the Austrian cultural forum in Iran as a solo singer under the guidance of Vijay Upadhyaya and later continued with Prof. Christian Schulz as a Music Director. Later Ara coached singers in the Austrian Cultural Forum and founded a children's choir called Edelweiss in Iran. He moved to Austria in 2015 to continue his singing journey. In 2017 He graduated from Richard Wagner Conservatory with Prof. Evelyn Schörkhuber and Prof. Glenys Linos (2017); he studied parallel for two years of conducting with Prof. Christian Schulz. He moved to Los Angeles in 2018. He graduated with MM-vocal performance at APU. His voice trainer is a world-renowned vocal trainer Bill Schuman, and his vocal coach is Bill Vendice, a Famous metropolitan and Los Angeles Opera Coach. He did over 500 concerts in Vienna-Austria (2015-2018) and Iran ( 2005-2015). He was the first to produce a Production of Magic Flute with 200 people involved in Iran after the Iranian revolution (1979); he also sang Tamino's role, conducted the choir, and coached the Solo singers in the production. Some of the opera roles that he sang are; Gerardo (Gianni Schicchi-Puccini), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni -Mozart), Hoffman (Tales of Hoffmann -Offenbach), Alfredo (La Traviata-Verdi) in and Don Jose (Carmen-Bizet), etc. He also worked as a singing coach, voice trainer, and conductor (Choirs and ensembles) in Iran and Austria.
