Taylor Melton

Taylor Melton is a member of the class of 2021 at La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks, CA. She has a GPA of 4.88 and has a rigorous course load, with five AP classes and one honors class in her junior year schedule. She received a 1500 on her SAT in 2019 (770 English/730 Math). Additionally, Taylor is a member of her school's student council, her school's Ambassador program, the Thesbian society, National Honor Society, and has received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (Gold). Along with diligently pursuing school work, Taylor Melton is extremely involved in her school's music and theater departments. She is a member of two choirs and takes private vocal lessons from Mrs. Heidi Vass, training in both classical and musical theater singing. She is also involved in drama, performing in several shows include Freaky Friday (Ellie), Newsies (Davey), and Lizzy, Darcy, and Jane (Mr. Darcy/Mr. Lefroy), among others. She participated in The Music Center's Spotlight competition in 2020 and advanced to the Preliminary Two round in the Classical Voice category.
