Bio

Selena Pettifer originally studied as a pianist and began vocal lessons in her final year of her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from the University of Melbourne. She has performed mainly as a mezzo-soprano and is currently studying voice as a dramatiic soprano with the famous baritone Cesare Colona at the "Internationales Gesangsstudio Berlin eV". Selena has appeared in a number of Opera productions, concerts and recitals in Australia, and has also performed in Europe and South America. Before coming to live in Berlin in 2017, Selena made her debut in the role of Azucena in "Il Trovatore” with Citi Opera. She also released her first operatic album of arias "Una voce bella"

She performed the role of Ortrud from “Lohengrin” and Wellgunde from “Das Rheingold” with Wagner Gruppe Berlin. She sang the role Annio from “La Clemenza di Tito” in a Fortitude Opera (Shoestring Opera Berlin) Production and Idamante from “Idomeneo” in a collaboration with Fortitude Opera and Open Air Opera. She continues to perform frequently in various Opera and Operetta concerts and Lieder recitals.
