Kassandra Dimopoulou

Kassandra was born in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Her operatic career started with her "Carmen" debut in a Bolshoi Opera of Minsk production during the festival "Monschau Klassik" in Germany, followed by several guest appearances in Staatsoper Stuttgart and in many other international opera houses, festivals and concert halls: Teatro Real Madrid (Spain), Odeon Herodes Atticus (Athens Festival), National Opera of Greece, Festival Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, Theatre National du Luxembourg, Teatro Cilea (Italy), Royal Opera House, Athens Megaron, Opera of Thessaloniki, 16th International Ancient Greek Drama Festival (Cyprus), Knoxville Opera (U.S.A.), Alexandria Opera House, Megaron Thessaloniki a.o.

Her name became internationally known as she sang the role of Contessa d Ceprano in the TV live broadcast "Rigoletto a Mantova" in G. Verdi's opera "Rigoletto", next to the opera star Placido Domingo and under the baton of Zubin Mehta.
