My name is Valerie Gibbs. I am a 30 year old IT employee at a biometric screenings facility. I have two Bachelors degrees in Astronomy and Astrophysics with a minor in Music. I taught myself how to sing when I was a little girl. As I grew up, I performed in school talent shows and joined choirs in college. I also joined choirs through my church, where I had the honor of performing Ave Maria for the archbishop and an entire baseball stadium full of people. I was a lead singer in a band, performing in bars and restaurants. When I was getting my second bachelors degree, minoring in music, I discovered my voice in operatic singing. Since then, I have come into my voice, and I look forward to growing and seeing what I can achieve. Music has always been the constant in my life, helping me get through some rough challenges. It’s a way I can express myself and communicate with complete strangers. I enjoy going on adventures, being outdoors, reading a good book, doing my daily yoga routines, and of course singing whenever I can.
