Born in 1996, Ukrainian soprano Elena Ertus began her musical career at the Kosenko Music Academy in Zhytomir, where she studied choral conducting from 2011 to 2015. From 2016 to 2022, she received her vocal training at the Glière Music Akademi in Kyiv from Tamara Koval. Since 2023, Elena Ertus has been studying at the Mozarteum University in the postgraduate course in the opera class of Kai Röhrig and Florentine Klepper. Her repertoire includes Mimì (La bohème), Liù (Turandot), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) by Giacomo Puccini, Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovann, Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, Marguerite in Gounod's Faust, Tatjana in Eugene Onegin and Iolanta in Tchaikovsky's opera. This year she performed in Thomas Desi’s new opera “The Butterfly Equation” on August 24th in Siena and in Viena on September 23th in "Reaktor".
