Elena Skirgaudas, 17, is a senior at the Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences where she has been on the high honor roll each semester. Elena started studying cello at age 5 and voice at age 9. She has been studying voice with Laura Shepherd for the past 7 years. Elena has performed at Seattle Children’s Theatre including in Seussical Jr (Sour Kangaroo) and Madagascar Jr (Gloria), as well as at Youth Theatre Northwest and Studio East in the Seattle area. Elena was a student at Berklee/Boston Conservatory Vocal Choral Intensive in summer 2020, and the Interlochen Voice and Opera summer program in 2021 and 2022. Elena is in the Onions, her school Jazz Choir, and has been in the Teen Vocal Studio at Seattle Opera for the past three years. Roles include Juliet in Little Sweep by Benjamin Britten and Bagheera in the Jungle Book.
