Bio

Abigail Tidlow-Tranel is a gifted 17-year-old Soprano and high school senior living in the beautiful Yellowstone National Park, WY. Her passion for classical vocal studies began at a young age when she began studying the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) while living in Alaska. Her repertoire includes operatic arias, German lieder, and many other art songs. In addition to voice, Abgail is a high achieving student receiving many academic awards and achievements and possesses strong leadership qualities as a school community organizer. Her current vocal instructors include Jonathan Beyer (Manhattan School of Music) and Michelle Johnson (Professional Opera Singer) and she also studies the Feldenkrais Method with Maxine Davis. As a vocal artist she has performed in several principal roles in children operas including Seattle Youth Opera and the San Francisco Youth Opera as well as a virtual member of the New England Conservatory Youth Choir. While studying at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI) the Young Artists performed in a commercial production with the Boston Pops with John Williams guest conducting. She has been fortunate to be selected for several young artist roles in professional opera productions at the Bozeman Intermountain Opera (BIO) and the Billings Nova Center production (2019) and is currently a member of the Bozeman Symphony Choir (BSC). Her extensive summer youth programs have afforded her many principal roles including two summers at Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI), Curtis Mentorship Program (CMP), and Lamont School of Music (LSM).
