Joseph Murphy

Joseph Murphy is a baritone from Brooklyn, NY and is a junior at Edward R. Murrow High School, class of 2021. In the past two years he has performed leading roles in musicals at Murrow, including Emile De Becque in South Pacific, and most recently Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. In 2019 he won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical as Emile De Becque with the National Youth Arts, Eastern Division. Most recently, he was a FInalist in the 2020 Schmidt High School Vocal Competition, Philadelphia Cohort.

Joey is a master of Irish folk dance and a skilled pianist. He will be auditioning next year for music schools for admission in the Fall of 2021.
