Sandra was born in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India and is a recent graduate from the Roberts Wesleyan College with a B.S degree in Vocal Performance. She has performed as soprano soloist in Handels Messiah with the RWC Chorale and Orchestra, she sang the role of First Lady in the RWC Opera theatre production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and the role of Fiordiligi this spring in the RWC Opera production of Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. She received an Encouragement Award at the 2023 Metropolitan Opera competition. Sandra’s vocal talent was apparent at a very young age and, at the age of 12, she performed in Chennai, India for an audience over 20,000 people at the Don Moen concert; she also performed at the climate change concert held at the time in India, in the presence of the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. She initially intended to come to the US to study jazz on scholarship at the Berkeley College of music but, as she was preparing required classical repertoire for her auditions, she discovered that her love for singing was not limited to jazz and began her classical training four years ago at Roberts.
