Bass-baritone Anderson Rambler is 17 and a rising senior at Firestone CLC Akron School for the Arts. He studies classical voice with Denise Milner-Howell, Adjunct Professor of Voice at Cleveland Institute of Music. In 2024, he participated in The Juilliard School’s Summer Voice Intensive Program and the University of Michigan’s Vocal Arts Institute.
Recent accolades Anderson was honored to receive include with the National Federation of Music Clubs, the National Comstock Music Award (first place) and the 2024 Martha Marks Mack National Voice Award (second place). He was a Scholarship Winner at the 2024 Classical Singer Magazine Competition in Washington, D.C., and received a scholarship from the Akron Pops Orchestra (first place).
Professional concert appearances include with the Akron Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the premiere of a new work written for him with the Cleveland Composers Guild, the Akron Pops Orchestra, and with the Cleveland Chamber Choir. Additionally, Anderson is an auditioned member of the Akron Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and a soloist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Massillon, OH, where his performances include selections from Dvorak’s Biblical Songs and where he will perform the baritone solo from Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs. Additional performance credits include musical theatre with local professional companies, and over 10 leading and supporting role credits during his time at Firestone CLC.
Anderson’s dedication, passion, and love for his craft and music is obvious in all of his life, and he strives to inspire and move his community with his performances.
