Anika Patel

Anika knew her biggest passion was to sing from a young age. She was involved in theatre from the age of six, and joined the Philadelphia Girls Choir when she was eight, performing all over the globe. She started taking private voice lessons at the age of 10, and her love of singing has only grown since then. By the age of seventeen, she was cast in over thirty musicals and plays. Her favorite roles have included Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Maria (The Sound of Music), Patrice (13), and Wadsworth (Clue).

For the past 3 summers, Anika has helped iTheatrics workshop new shows in New York City. She participates annually in the Junior Theater Festival, and in 2023, was invited to sing during a panel section at this festival, performing alongside Broadway stars in front of an audience of eight thousand. In June of 2023, she attended the Carnegie Mellon Pre-College Program for Drama, with a concentration in musical theater. Along with developing her skills, she performed with an acapella group, singing the national anthem at a Pittsburgh Pirates game.

At the age of thirteen, Anika started competing, her favorites including the Classical Singer and Hal Leonard Vocal Competitions. Anika is also an active member of her theater club at school, and she vocal directs all the musicals. Anika has recently begun to explore more classical genres of music in her repertoire, but her strengths mainly lie in musical theater.
