Caroline Jacobson has been singing all her life. The daughter of two classical singers, she began singing in church as a toddler and has since developed her musical talent through piano and later voice lessons. She began her solo performing career by singing a solo in the Texas Master Chorale's performance of the Karl Jenkins "Requiem" at age 8 and was invited again to solo in their performance of the Taylor Scott Davis "Magnificat" at age 14.
Caroline was recently named a YoungArts Winner with Distinction in Classical Voice and won 1st place at the Texas Schmidt Vocal Competition, earning her a spot in the upcoming national competition in Sarasota, Florida. She was also awarded 3rd place in the 2024 Richard Miller High School Vocal Competition at Oberlin Conservatory.
Caroline has earned Superior ratings and 'Outstanding Performance' recognition at the Klein ISD Solo & Ensemble Contest for three consecutive years. Her dedication also earned her 1st place among sophomore women at the Greater Houston NATS (GHNATS) competition in 2023.
Her recent musical journey includes membership in the TMEA Texas All-State Choir in 2023 and 2024, including being chosen as a soloist with the 2024 Mixed Choir. She was awarded the Young Masters grant for continuing arts education by the Texas Commission on the Arts, and she was a finalist in the 2024 C.S. Music National Vocal Competition. Beyond classical singing, she excels in solo musical theatre, earning Superior ratings and qualifying for the National competition at the Texas Thespian Festival in 2022 and 2023. She recently performed the role of Donna Sheridan in the Klein High School production of "Mamma Mia!" and won a Tommy Tune Award in the area of "Outstanding Singer" for her performance.
