Catherine Ji, 15, is a 10th grade student at Northview High School in Duluth, Georgia.

Catherine has always had a passion for music. She has been taking vocal lessons since age 12, and has a decade of piano experience. She enjoys enriching her singing experience by taking part in vocal competitions. Catherine has participated in numerous vocal competitions, receiving 1st Prize from the 2024 USA Classical Music International Competition and 3rd Prize in the 2024 Best Mozart Performance, Great Composers Competition. Previously, Catherine has also been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in the American Protégé International Vocal Competition 2022, 2023 and 2024, from which she received 2nd Prize in the Opera Aria Category.

Catherine is a major member of the Northview High School Cantabile Choir and has sung in her school's chorus for 6 years. She enjoys harmonizing with her friends in Vocally Charged, an acapella group at her school which performs every year at choir concerts and Northview's International Night. She has also taken part in her regional Honors Chorus three times, in 2021/22/23, and All-State Chorus twice, in 2023/24. She has also sung at numerous charity events, including the 2022/23/24 Have A Good Summer Fundraisers and the 2023 True Love Christmas Charity. She loves connecting with the vocal community and can't want to meet and learn more at future vocal events!

Catherine is also an exceptionally strong student. She maintains very high grades while taking the most academically rigorous courses Northview High School offers, and tested a full score of 1440 on the PSAT (>99%th percentile in Georgia) in 9th grade.

Outside of singing, Catherine also enjoys competition mathematics and archery. She has recently received 12th Place at the 2023 Georgia Math Counts State Competition. She has also received multiple 1st place awards at Georgia archery competitions and ranked 34th nationally at the USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals Competition.
