Jonathan Saatman is a professional tenor specializing in operatic and classical singing. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from CSU Sacramento, where he has performed the roles of Rinuccio from Gianni Schicchi and Prince Charming from Pauline Viardot's Cendrillon. He has also performed the role of Eisenstein from Die Fledermaus with Stanford Light Opera Company, Valentin from Faust with Verismo Opera, and is looking forward to playing the role of Dr. Blind from Die Fledermaus with Modesto Opera this October. He has performed multiple times with Opera Modesto in the production of modern works by living composers, and placed 2nd in their 2022 Kristina Townsend Memorial Competition. When not singing opera and art song, he also sings with multiple professional choirs in Sacramento. He spends his time away from the stage as an avid home cook, instrumentalist, and teacher of beginner voice, piano, and music theory, as well as volunteering for the Sea Scouts, a branch of the Boy Scouts of America.
