Bio

Viola Kovács, the Hungarian soprano, performed in various productions of the Zuglo Philharmonics (Carmen, Il Campanello, Die Zauberflöte). Her roles include Luigia (Viva la mamma) and two solo parts in contemporary Hungarian music dramas.

Before moving to Boston in 2021, she was a recurring soloist at the concerts of King Stephen Jubilee Orchestra, and the soprano of the Saint Anne Parish Quartet. The ensemble performed, accompanied by an organ, various pieces like Mass in C Major by F.Schubert, Missa Brevis in D minor by W.A.Mozart or Fauré’s Requiem. Her latest roles include Papagena from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart.

Besides the classical music world, she is comfortable in popular music as well. Since the pandemic, she has started songwriting and currently has twelve originals in Spanish.
