Bio

Aitor Sorozabal is a Spanish tenor born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. After initially pursuing studies in Psychology right after high school he soon realised that his true calling in life was music. He studied voice and composition at the Royal Holloway college of the University of London under the tutelage of baritone Stuart MacIntyre. At present he continues to perfect his technique with tenor Paul Stephan.

During his time in London he sang in recitals a repertoire of Spanish songs, Lied, French Mélodie and the chamber arias of Bellini and Verdi. At present he performs in Brussels and will make his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe festival performing Schumann’s Dichterliebe as well as an ambitious program of music of Mediterranean countries sung in five different languages. Besides chamber music Aitor also also has a varied repertoire of opera and zarzuela arias.
