Bio

Abigail Cano is a soprano located in Fresno, California. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music Education from California State University, Fresno and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at California State University, Fresno.

Abigail performed the role of Hansel in Hansel and Gretel with Fresno State Opera and the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra. She has also brought Countess Almaviva to the stage in Fresno State’s Opera Scenes program. In addition to her work at Fresno State, she has sung in the chorus with California Opera Association’s Carmen and La Sonnombula productions. Cano worked with Kelley O’Connor at the 2023 Fresno State Art Song Festival and advanced to the final showcase. She also premiered a new art song by Nathaniel Morris titled “Unearthing Home”.

Abigail has a passion for singing and enjoys singing in all genres. She has recorded background vocals with rock band Cloudship on two of their albums and performed with them at Grizzly Fest Music Festival and at the 2023 NAMM convention in Anaheim. In the Summer of '23 she premiered a Musical Theatre Song Cycle titled Dysfunction by Ke'Lea Flowers at The Selma Arts Center.
