Bio

Georgina Gatto has a B.A. in German and English Literature. She also obtained a M.M. in Voice Performance under Dr. Mary Schiller and was awarded a teaching assistantship at the University of Akron in Voice Performance. Thereafter, Ms. Gatto studied with Ms. Claudia Pinza completing an Artist Diploma at Duquesne University and received a scholarship to study in Oderzo, Italy, at the Ezio Pinza Council of American Singers of Opera. Later, she obtained a teaching assistantship in the doctoral program for voice performance at West Virginia University. She currently studies with Dr. Justin John Moniz. She has performed a variety of roles including Nancy in Britten's Albert Herring and Laurentia in John Duke's Captain Lovelock to name a few. She has performed in over 35 recitals in the U.S., Mexico and the Cayman Islands. She enjoys nature and writing poetry.
