Christine Kaufmann

Christine is a member of the Class of 2020 at Gaithersburg High School (GHS) in Maryland. She enjoys both classical and musical theater. Christine played Belle in the GHS Spring 2019 production of "Beauty and the Beast," Lady Larkin in "Once Upon a Mattress" in Spring 2017, Prudy in "Hairspray" in Spring 2018 and Essie in "You Can't take It With You" in Fall 2019. She was preparing to play Johanna in "Sweeny Todd" in the May 2020 production with the Free Theater of Rockville, MD. (cancelled due to COVID 19) In addition to the GHS Chambers Singers and A Capella, Christine has been a member of the Maryland All State Chorus and the Montgomery County Youth Chorus. Christine has earned Superior adjudications with the Maryland Music Educators Association (MMEA) at District and State levels for ensemble and solo performances. Christine also performs with the GHS award winning Marching Band and Symphonic Band where she is First Chair clarinet. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. This Fall she will attend the University of Maryland School of Music.
