Diana Monacelli is a Chicago-based operatic soprano praised for her strong musicianship, warm tone, and powerful upper range. As an active performer, Diana has performed shows in the US and internationally in venues like Carnegie Hall in New York as well as Los Angeles, and Austria. She has appeared in many of Mozart’s works including Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and Bastienne in Bastien und Bastienne. She also enjoys performing contemporary American works and debuted as the first female to play the Jumper in Zach Redler’s The Falling and the Rising. Her oratorio credits include a soloist in Handel’s Messiah. Diana loves exploring new music from different cultures with already having experience in Latin American/Spanish, Ukrainian, and contemporary American repertoire. Diana holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from North Park University. She also holds a certificate from The Vincero Academy online role study program and a certificate for completing the Zarzuela USA workshops.
