Zoe Martinez

Zoe Martinez is a 17 year old Senior, Class of 2022, at Mater Dei High School, Santa Ana, California. She has been taking private voice lessons for fourteen years and is in her 10th year studying voice under the expertise of Kathleen Martin of Voice Classics Studio in Laguna Niguel, California. Along with weekly voice lessons, Zoe also enriches her practice monthly with the following professionals, Bill Vendice, diction/linguistics coach, Vera Calabria, drama coach, Suzanna Guzman, dramatic interpretation and lyrical coach, and Jodi Reed, MDHS Choral Director. Zoe has received numerous awards both in Classical and Musical Theater. Since 2012, Zoe has placed in the top two ranks for NATS, NATS Cal Western, South Coast Symphony, Spotlight LA Music Center Classical Voice Semi Finalist, VOCE, Hal Leonard, Opera Focus, American Protege - Carnegie Hall winner to name a few. She has completed the 7th level MTAC for Certificate of Merit for Voice, and has been a featured soloist performer at CM Convention on many occasions. She enjoys sharing her voice and love for singing with the public and for family and friends. She is often requested to sing the National Anthem at her high school Varsity Football and Basketball games and various regional events. She performs with grace and devotion to giving her best every time she walks out onto a stage, a football field, or places of worship. As the only freshman in the advanced chamber chorus at her school, Zoe has enjoyed the musicality, spiritual connectedness, and camaraderie that being in a chorus envelops. She is often a featured soloist performing at her school choral programs. As an active Youth Ambassador with LA Opera the last six years, Zoe has been devoting her shared passion with her peers and the opera community. She volunteers her time to help set up opera meets at the beautiful Dorothy Chandler, welcome patrons to the operas, and serves as an appointed LA Opera representative member for Opera America Teen National Council. Zoe has dual citizenship (Italian and American). She aspires towards a career of opera performance. Zoe dreams to sing on the beautiful stage of Graz Opera in Austria and opera houses throughout America.
