Bio

Hi! I'm Lydia Berckley and I'm a rising senior in high school. I am heavily involved with my school's performing arts program. In the theatre program, I have been taking theatre classes each year and I'm currently in the highest level theatre class (Masque). I am currently the vice president of our International Thespian Society Troupe and will be the president next year. I have also been principal roles in many of our plays and musicals (like Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Mama Morton in Chicago High School Edition, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town). In the dance program, I have been taking classes every semester and will be in the top dance class next year. I received a student of the month award and an Dance Arts Pillar Award for my performances. I also choreographed a piece for our spring concert this year. In the music program, I have been a strong leader for our choir program and choir club. I've had various solos in concerts and recitals. I have also done lots of voice competitions through the school.

Recently, I have also started working with Theatre Under the Stars at the Hobby Center in downtown Houston, TX. Most recently, I played Baker's Wife in Into the Woods. I will also be doing Bring It On over the summer with them and I will be helping lead workshops for younger kids.
