Bio

Katie Ahmann earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2021. She also completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Conservatory in 2019 and was awarded the Dean's Award of Achievement as the Undergraduate Valedictorian. Her musical journey took off with a first place finish in the American Protégé International Competition and award recital at Carnegie Hall. A two-time National Young Arts Winner, Katie recently made her radio debut on KDFC, performing Miss Pinkerton in Menotti's Old Maid and the Thief. Other career highlights include playing the roles of Despina in the Bloomington Summer Opera Workshop production of Così fan tutte, Papagena in the Austin Summer Opera Workshop production of Die Zauberflöte, and Turnspit in the Toronto Summer Opera Workshop production of Dvorak’s Rusalka. As part of the San Francisco Conservatory’s Musical Theater Ensemble, she played the role of Luisa in The Fantasticks in 2019 and Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods in 2020.
