Bo Chester, the 2020 UHSMTA Best Lead Actress and Jimmy Award Finalist, loves everything Musical Theatre. Bo has played countless roles in school, community, and semi-professional theatre since she was a child including Annie (Annie), Dot (Oz), Penny Pingleton (Hairspray), Miss Honey (Matilda), Eponine (Les Miserables), Mazy Le Bird (Seussical), and Laura Bush/Susan Ford/Tricia Nixon (First Daughter Suite, UHSMTA Winner). In 2017, Bo took first place at the National Jr. High Shakespeare Competition at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Bo was slated to make her Broadway Debut at the young age of 15 at the Jimmy Awards before the announcement of the cancellation and hope to get the chance to compete at the 2021 event. She is grateful for her parents and teachers who have helped her get to where she is.
