Based in Rochester, New York Emma Grace Wade is a sixteen-year-old vocalist and aspiring opera singer. She had her first paid role at age 13 when she performed for Rochester’s GEVA Theater production of a Christmas Carol in 2017. Currently a junior at Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women, Emma Grace participates in many aspects of her school’s Performing Arts Program, including roles roles in her school’s productions of Little Women, Odd Couple – Female Edition, Secret Garden, My Fair Lady and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. She is a member (soloist) for her school’s elite Show Choir. In order to excel at her passion of music, Emma Grace studies at the esteemed Eastman School of Music’s college preparatory program where she is working towards her pre- collegiate diploma in voice. Emma Grace spends her summers continuing to hone her craft. She has attended the New York State Summer School for the Arts Vocal Program - youngest to perform at the honor’s recital. Emma Grace has attended the Eastman School of Music’s summer intensive program for voice where she honed her skills with students from all around the world. She was accepted to the Brevard Music Center summer institute and festival which was virtual due to the pandemic. This summer, Emma Grace will be attending The Juilliard Virtual Summer Programme for classical voice. Along with Emma Grace’s love of music, she has a great passion for social justice. She is co-founder of her school’s Civic Equality Club and is actively involved in initiatives for social change.
