Dana Douglass is an operatic soprano from Maine who majored in music education at the University of Maine. While there, she participated in the Opera Workshop, where she portrayed many characters from operas such as Cosi fan Tutte, Les Conte d’Hoffman, La Traviata, and Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking. She has been seen onstage as Dido in Dido and Aeneas, a Milkmaid and Mother in the Bangor Symphony Orchestra’s production of La Boheme, and in the partial roles of Magda in Menotti’s The Consul, and Mimi in La Boheme. Currently, Dana is pursuing a masters degree in vocal performance at Peabody Conservatory, where she has most recently been Bianca and Gabriella in the Peabody Opera Theater production of La Rondine. Dana is in the studio of the wonderful Elizabeth Futral.
