Johna Denis

Johna Denis is a Haitian American soprano born and raised in Miami, Florida. Johna is a Junior in the FIU School of Music pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance, a third-year undergraduate in the Honors College, and a Learning Assistant at FIU. Johna is also pursuing a secondary bachelor’s degree in chemistry and will graduate with her Bachelor of Music degree and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in Spring of 2022. She is currently working on an opera with Santa Fe Opera, with a lead role, premiering in 2021. Johna is an alumna of the Florida Grand Opera Youth Artist Learning Academy and the Assistant Director and soprano section leader at First Haitian Church of God.
