Bio

A Chicago native, Lyndsey Notaro will graduate from Northwestern University, Bienen School of Music with her Master of Music in Voice and Opera 2022 studying voice with Karen Brunssen. Lyndsey holds a BM in vocal performance and a BA in religion from Illinois Wesleyan University. She studied in Vienna with Sebastian Vittucci, interned in casting and planning at the Wiener Staatsoper, and spent two summers singing in Italy. Lyndsey traveled to Russia as a delegate of the Vatican to commemorate the execution of the Romanovs and sang for Pope Francis.

Lyndsey began singing as soon as she could talk, and started studying classical voice at age 11. At Northwestern University, Lyndsey performed Mrs. Nolan in Menotti’s The Medium, Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte, and as a soloist for the Alice Millar Chapel Choir (including Haydn's Mass in E flat major and Bach's cantatas 110 and 191). Former roles include: Madame de la Haltière in Massenet’s Cendrillon, the Usher in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, and the 1st Stepsister in Warren Martin’s The True Story of Cinderella at Illinois Wesleyan; and La Maestra della Novizie in Puccini’s Suor Angelica in Italy. Lyndsey sings with the Alice Millar Chapel Choir on Sundays and has performed with many ensembles in Chicago including Spirito Bravura. Next year Lyndsey will attend The Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland.
