Bio

Laura Kate Marshall is an internationally, classically trained mezzo-contralto and actor. A versatile singer, Laura has been applauded by lovers of Opera, Musical Theatre, and Art Song across the United States and Europe. She has performed with The Little Orchestra Society and the Oratorio Society of New York at Lincoln Center, opened the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as a member of the Broadway production of A Christmas Carol, and made a surprising appearance on the Chicago Bulls Greatest Hits Vol. 2 as “The Opera Lady”. Laura made her Zarzuela debut with the Pacific Lyric Association at Los Angeles as Rosita in Federico Torroba’s Luisa Fernanda. Among other places, Laura has shared her gifts as a recitalist at the Longfellow Institute, the Clavichord Society of Boston, the Deutsche Haus of Boston, the Aspen Music Festival, Alliance Française, and the renown Schubert Institute in Baden, Austria. Recent performances include: Cinderella at The Walnut Street Theatre, The Tempest at Delaware Shakespeare and Steel Magnolias with Stagecrafters. A New York City native, Laura began her undergraduate studies at New York University and holds a degree in Vocal Performance and a Masters in Vocal Performance, Early Music, from the Longy School of Music of Bard College.
