Bio

Mia Mortman (soprano) is a student at McLean High School, and studies under the tutelage of Dr. Jennifer Cabot (George Mason University) and Dr. Caitlin Moore (Colorado Mesa University). She has attended summer programs such as Boston University Tanglewood Institute and Interlochen Arts Camp. She has placed in prestigious competitions such as Schmidt and YoungArts. Mia serves as President and Student Conductor of her school's Treble Chorus. She is currently participating in the faith-based Sing Unto God Fellowship, enriching her Jewish songleading skills.

Academically, she is the Director of Crisis Committees for her school's Model UN team, where she is routinely award-winning. She is also an officer for her school's Tri-M National Music Honor Society. She is a member of NHS, NEHS, and NHHS, expected to graduate with 12 AP courses, and is an AP Scholar with Distinction.
