Bio

Pedro Côrtes Loureiro, bass-baritone, started singing under the guidance of Efigênia Côrtes and Edmundo Villani-Côrtes.

From 2016 to 2021 he was a classical singing student at EMESP-Tom Jobim, guided by

Marta Dalila Mauler.

In 2019, he joined the Theatro São Pedro Opera Academy, in São Paulo, Brazil, where he studied acting, opera history, and repertory practice.

He participated in the chorus and as a soloist in operas and concerts.

As Sirocco, in the operetta L'Etoile (E. Chabrier), and as Raúl, in the premier of the brazilian opera O Peru de Natal (Leonardo Martinelli) in 2019.

In 2020, he participated in the 37th Workshop of Música de Curitiba, in the opera La Belle Helene, by Offenbach, in the role of Calchas;

In 2021 and 2022 he participated as soloist in the opera Viramundo, in Belo Horizonte; in 2022, in the role of Maestro, in Viva La Mamma; and asDon Pedro, in the zarzuela El Barberillo de Lavapiés, at Theatro San Pedro.

Currently graduated, he actively participates as soloist in concerts and operas in São Paulo and across the country. He is currently under orientation of the bass singer Luiz Ottavio-Faria.
