compositions. Hailing from East Patchogue, NY, his “well-schooled tenor [and] excellent

dramatic and comic instincts'' [Parterre Box], brought life to the New York French premier

of Meyerbeer’s Dinorah in the role of Corentin during Amore Opera’s 2018-19 season. As a

recent winner of the Male Voice division of the National Federation of Music Clubs’

bi-annual competition, Mr. Celentano will be touring the country giving voice recitals and

masterclasses.

Highlights of the 2022-23 season included being a Finalist in the Federation of the Art

Song and SAS Performing Arts Competition, Satyavan in Gustav Holst’s Savitri and Don

Jose in Bizet/Peter Brook’s La Tragedie de Carmen with Stony Brook University Opera,

concerts with Gateway Music Society, a recent recital of all of Benjamin Britten’s cycles set

to original foreign language texts entitled Subtle Shades of Meaning, and singing the role

of the Messenger and covering the role of Radames in Finger Lakes Opera’s summer 2023

production of Verdi’s Aida.

Notable moments from recent seasons include Max in Bronx Opera’s 50th Anniversary

production of Weber’s Der Freischütz, praised by Superconductor as being “admirable

[and showing] genuine character development over the course of three acts”, Sam in

Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah as a part of Lighthouse Opera’s first full season, and

Niebechung Vassal in the Metropolitan Opera’s 2019 production of Wagner’s

Götterdämmerung.
