Bio

Alexis Aimé, Soprano, is currently based in South Florida, though continues to work internationally after receiving her Master’s in Opera at the University of Maryland. Roles include First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Female Chorus in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia, Euridice and Amor in Orfeo ed Euridice, the title role in Iolanta, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, and Bianca in La Rondine. Ms. Aimé began her professional career with Opera Theatre of St. Louis in 2013 performing the role of the Lover in Il tabarro while also covered the role of Young Emile in the world premiere of Blanchard’s Champion. Ms. Aimé was honored to sing Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade at TEDx Nashville as part of the Alexander & Buono presentation on ‘The Classical Musician: New Paradigm, New Imperatives,’ and she also performed on the Carnegie Hall stage at the ABC Gala on multiple occasions as well as the Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center. Ms. Aimé has been the recipient of honors and awards including the Deans Scholarship at Oberlin Conservatory, Bev Sellers Memorial Scholarship, Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Heineken USA Performing Arts Scholarship. She was a YoungArts Finalist in 2010 and continues to work with the YoungArts Foundation to encourage the next generation of classical singers.
