Playing powerful roles like Motor Mouth Maybelle from the musical HAIRSPRAY and The Witch from Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, Imani Harris is an accomplished actor and performer in the Coon Rapids high school community and community settings. Vocally trained by the esteemed voice coach and vocal performer Brittany Rudoi and chorally trained by Coon Rapids Choir director Amy Johnson, Imani has been proclaimed best in sight by the Minnesota State High School League (small ensemble/solo contest) as well as been evaluated for the Spotlight Outstanding acknowledgment. With experience working in and with studio equipment and having experience with camera work, you could say she can do whatever she’s called to! You would also find that Imani is the president of her concert choir, one of the many captains in her theater department at Coon Rapids High School, and also the president of the Black Student Union. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she is an American singer and actress who likes to spend her time writing personal pieces such as original music or poetry. She also enjoys indulging in literature by authors such as Madeline Miller and playing fun instruments like the ukulele, guitar, piano, and her voice!
