Kayleigh Sprouse is a nineteen-year-old soprano who is focused in the Shenandoah Valley. She currently attends Christopher Newport University where she is pursuing a major in vocal performance under the studio of Dr. Rachel Holland while also working towards a double minor in theater and leadership. At CNU, she is a part of the Chamber Choir and was a part of the ensemble of the school's most recent opera production, the Pirates of Penzance. This fall, she will be performing in three opera scenes and will also be starring as Beth Moss in Aaron Copland's The Tender Land. Before college, Kayleigh Sprouse was a part of the Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir in Harrisonburg, VA for eleven years. With the choir, she has had numerous solos and has performed in Peru, New Orleans, Washington D.C., Colorado, and much more. During her time in high school, Kayleigh performed in numerous theatrical productions both in and out of her school, such as Annie (Annie), Suessical: the Musical (Gertrude McFuzz), the Sound of Music (Brigitta), Beauty and the Beast (Chip), and much more. In her last two years of high school, Kayleigh invested time in private lessons and began building her classical repertoire and performed in two hour-long recitals.
