Keturah Heard, soprano, is a native of Hammond, Louisiana. During her graduate studies at LSU, she won first place in the collegiate scenes competition of the National Opera Association in 2020. Most recently, Keturah portrayed the roles of the four heroines in Opera Louisiane’s production of The Tales of Hoffmann for their Young People’s Opera Program.
Other roles she’s performed include Clorinda in La Cenerentola (Cinderella) with Opera Louisiane, Mariola in the collegiate premier of Jake Heggie’s Two Remain with LSU, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, and Zizi in an original piece entitled The Lions of Reconstruction with New Orleans based Opera Creole. Keturah holds degrees from Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University.
