Korean American baritone Eunsung Lee has recently completed his Professional Studies Certificate program in Classical Voice/Opera at Manhattan School of Music.
Mr. Lee has performed the role of Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, covered Plumkett in Martha, Zurga in Les Pêcheurs de Perles and Simon Fenton in Emmeline with Manhattan School of Music Opera Theater. He has performed as Colline in La Bohème by Puccini with Opera New York, and covered Colline in Leoncavallo’s La Bohème with Teatro Grattacielo’s 25th Anniversary
Concert: A Verismo Trilogy. Mr. Lee appeared once again as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte with The Opera Next Door’s debut production in May 2021.
As a baritone soloist, Mr. Lee was in the Assisi Performing Arts Festival in Italy and
performed the title role of Don Giovanni. He has performed in masterclasses for Thomas Hampson, Hei-Kyung Hong, Don Marrazzo, Olaf Bär, Stephen Hopkins and many more.
He has also appeared in MSM’s outreach program, touring NYC’s public and private schools. Mr. Lee was a proud member of Los Angeles Opera College Advisory Committee where he served as an ambassador, bridging the gap between the general college public and the Los Angeles Opera.
He was a recipient of an encouragement award from 2021 Gerda Lissner’s Lieder/Song Competition, and was a finalist of the prestigious The Ades Vocal Competition, Pasadena Vocal Competition, CS Music International Vocal Competition, and a grant recipient from Opera Buffs Inc.
As a teaching artist, he teaches New York City’s youth at Korean School of New York. He is currently serving as a soloist and music director at New York Bethel United Methodist Church in The Bronx.
Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from California State University, Fullerton and a Master of Music in vocal performance from Manhattan School of Music.
