Jarrett Hazelton is currently in the transition phase between high school and college, and will be entering his freshman year of college in the fall of 2020. He will be attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a tenor, thus pursuing a degree in voice. Aside from being granted the ability to attend such a prestigious music school, Jarrett has earned several accolades and has had several high-achieving experiences during his high school years. These include getting 1st Division ratings in all 7 MSVMA Solo & Ensembles he has participated in, getting 3rd place in the 2019 Verdi Opera Vocal Competition, as well as being granted access to several honorable choirs. These choirs include the Honors Performance Series International Choir in Sydney, Australia as well as the Regional, State, and All-State MSVMA Honors Choirs. He was also given an internship from Rackham Choir of Detroit, which allowed him to sing within Rackham Choir as well as receive private vocal lessons from Suzanne Acton, the chorus master of the Michigan Opera Theatre, as well as Joseph Jackson, the pianist of Rackham Choir and the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak. Looking into the future, Jarrett wishes to pursue a career in Opera.
